Oscar Nominated Singer and Songwriter Pharrell Williams Supports Music Therapy

Music therapy is gaining popularity as an effective and holistic treatment, for individuals dealing with emotional, mental and physical disabilities. Some of the world’s most respected musicians are joining Nordoff Robbins; the UK’s leading music therapy charity who honored Williams with it’s RAYMOND WEIL International Award in 2014, to educate the public about the health benefits of working with an experienced music therapist.

During a red carpet interview at the event he was honored at, Williams – with fellow honoree and Led Zeppelin founder Jimmy Page – said, “If you really think about it, music is the one thing that can calm a crowd, music is the one thing that can rage a crowd, so we know that there are some holistic properties there its just that we need more foundations like this to embrace it, so that people can see the effects of music therapy, what it can do and how it can lift people.”

Williams’ support for this alternative health treatment helps to increase global awareness, about the special programs and treatments offered at Nordoff Robbins. The charities’ expertly trained music therapist help children and adults diagnosed with:
